I am getting reeeeeeevvvvvvvvvvved up for the new school year driving a school bus!
We had our annual meeting/training yesterday. Tomorrow I take my bus to have the mirrors adjusted and then maybe a
spin around the block even though it is the same route we can get paid for a run-through so why not!
Then Monday school starts! Cannot believe it either!!

We didn't get nearly enough swimming in and the pools will be closing Labor Day weekend. It just rained here all summer long!
Such a bummer!! :(

Cannot wait to get these kids back in school though, let me tell you!!

I drive one of the small special ed buses on my normal route and then I will drive the bigger buses when they need me to sub a route or on trips. (school trips, athletics, etc).

So in the am this year we will have 4 middle school troubled youths, one is female this year. Last year we just had the three boys in the first run. Then the second part is 5 little kids that go to preschool and two are wheelchair bound and we have a wheelchair bus for that.
What do you do in your work driving there MrZ? I don't ever remember you saying!

I work for a Doctor, I do front desk and managing, I do clerical work, and I do maintainence; I help patients as needed.

NYR, if you do not, you should do stand-up. Funny stuff.

LOL! you'd be surprised how much though I'd put uinto writing while I'm unemployed. Still no work right now but there are a couple of possibilities plus I'm applying for a grant to get my Microsoft certification in the mean time. Nothing great but it should help find work.

You should write, when you have time, what is it that you write anyways? Sci-fi/Fantasy/ Horror?

Good luck with job hunting, and I hope you get that grant :D

Sci-fi/horror. Been thinking of an "Event Horizon" style sci-fi/horror story but can't get it together in my head yet. Also been thinking of an outright horror and some TZ short stories.

Glad to hear :D. I love kebab. I had a middle-eastern dish, it had chicken and rice, and red berries, delicious :D

Kebabs are nice, but give me a shawarma, some humus and it's all good.

Shawarma is usually an Arabic sandwich, its shredded meat in a thin bread ( such as Pita). Usually it has shredded lettuce, tomatos, and a yogurt sauce.
It is delicious. Dr.M, you are making me hungry lol

I've been busy with work (patient load has really picked up this week) and a 4-day continuing education course (last Thursday through Sunday) -- no weekend/days off this time around so I'm all discombobulated. Running on overdrive to get through this week and have to work a half-day overtime this Saturday, so I can't wait for f@%king Sunday! It'll be fun too as I'm going to the Giants-Raiders game. How's everyone here?

I found this website:

It translated " How are you?" to " hvordan har De det??"

Is that correct?

Takk again

Yes, it is right, but that what they said like 50 years ago. It sound old now. Not many use it now. I more modern way to say it is: Hvordan har DU det? It does still mean the same.

Otherwise I'm ok for now. Still looking for a job but the government have paid for me to get some Microsoft certification training. The ones I had were from 2004 and well out of date really.

I hope your nourished your hunger pangs. By the way, best meal I had in a restaurant, in awhile was 4 ounce steak, and battered shrimp combo.
What was best meal you had in a while?

Good luck looking for work.
