I really like this song, too. Big, melodic chorus loaded with chunky guitars. Simple harmonies but catchy as hell. Power Pop a-plenty!

Everyone recognize the music in this one (from 2 sci-fi films)?

EDIT: The first part is from The Black Hole (1979); the end is from Blade Runner (82)

The music escapes me Kaptain, but I'm sure somebody else would know. I love how when they get to the Earth it says (You are here) haha classic.

Well, I'd say Isabella's line reading was far better than Ryan's reaction - "OH GOD, Oh Man, Oh God, Oh Man!"

Here is a brief, but well documented look into the world of bodybuilding, and at the center is one of the first class stars in the sport....Victor Martinez.

This documentary is done by a small time film maker, named Mike Pulcinella and I think it is extremely well done. Please note there is some product placement ads, for Victor's main sponsor, MHP.

(you might want to read below , before watching the video, for a little bit more background on Martinez and his setbacks)

Victor Martinez and Oscar Ardon train for the 2011 Arnold classic

Link

The story of Victor Martinez an inspirational one.

He has won many smaller shows, including a victory at The Arnold Classic in 2007. This is the second most prestigious bodybuilding show in the world, behind the Mr. Olympia.
He went from 2nd in the Mr. Olympia in 2007 (this show is easily the "Holy Grail" for bodybuilders), to suffering a catastrophic knee injury in 2008.
Then in 2009 a personal tragedy, as his sister was murdered by someone, and to my knowledge this individual was never caught.
-----She went to work in a building near the World Trade Center, where she cleaned offices, and never came out. No one knew what happened, until they found blood leaking from a ventilation shaft.
She was found bound and gagged, hand tied behind her back, feet and mouth taped, and on the 12th floor, whereas her cleaning cart was on the 8th floor. The autopsy confirmed that she died of asphyxiation by tape to her head and face.-----

2010 was supposed to be his "comeback year" but it just wasn't meant to be. He had a "relatively poor" showing late in the year at the Mr. Olympia, where he managed 8th I believe.

If you know anything about this game, a year or so off can really hold you back, and often bodybuilders never recover, and compete at the elite level again. (this was essentially TWO years scrapped) He is often criticized as not nailing his condition, right before the big shows.
What many outside of bodybuilding don't quite grasp, is they don't look "shredded" like that year round, only in the closing days before a major contest do they drop weight and get razor sharp.

Though 2008 and 2009 seemed to really hold him back, it seems as though his head is finally in the right place, now in 2011.
He recently finished 3rd at the Arnold Classic.
He is also training now with Oscar Ardon, one of the top minds in the business.

Good luck at the Mr. Olympia to one of the most likeable guys in the sport.

There are also other pieces of this on youtube if you look around, but you get the idea.

Maybe it's just me - but I'm thinking the people who dared to design these outfits didn't live past the mid 70s. However, the thought that women would stop wearing dresses and spend most the time in pants was fairly accurate - sans the thermal cape. Men with cellphones - on their hips not their chests and an all purpose fanny pack - well, that was the 90s.

My favorite segment was when the narrator comments: "Ohh - swish." :D

Are those movie titles real? Either way, that's hilarious. Reminded me of GTA: San Andreas, which has a movie marquee with the title The Wizard of Ass as well.

Dude, you listen to Opie and Anthony? I think they're hilarious. If you search Youtube, you can actually hear the audio of that entire interview in several parts. Actually some pretty interesting world events and political discussion, which not a lot of people give them credit for, but anyone that's interested can also find some good interviews they've done over the years with Michael Moore, Ken Burns and Dr. Michio Kaku. They're not all about sketches, naked girls and just being "shock jocks."

I think they are ok, but they just have that "New York" thing or style or whatever the hell you call it that I cannot stand, being from DC. I have plenty of other favorites that are now either off the air or on satellite. Like Don and Mike, Ron and Fez. I'd listen to Opie and Anthony...if they were the last radio talk show on earth.

What is it with guys from DC, most of them don't seem to like O&A? Hope it wasn't the whole Don and Mike feud they used to have, because that's over now. Ron and Fez are great too, I agree on that.
