I love Farscape, the actors, the comedy, the clandestine and cunning storylines. One of my only minor criticisms of the show
was the puppetry and some make up, I am just not a fan of puppetry in general, sorry.

This show is like Buck Rogers in a surreal alien part of the universe.

10 stars for the pilot

Anyone ever watch this show? I found the complete 2nd, 3rd and 4th seasons today at the Salvation Army thrift store for $13 each and season 4 which goes for over $80 on eBay is still sealed. I've heard good reviews about it but just wanted to get some opinions here.

I am a big fan of the show. Probably in the top 5 Sci-Fi shows to come out of the 90's. Great cast, strong writing.

If you haven't purchased them yet, go to the PtE-MOTV section and have a look for yourself.

Good show, fine cast, scifi, humor, action, drama, I wish Rigel looked less like puppety, some of the puppetry imho was childish ( perhaps that was one of their markets they aimed for ), yet otherwise a cool show.

Well Charles,..........at the very least you should buy them.

Two reasons actually.

1- I also have heard very good things about the show. It had a very vocal following, and when it was finally taken off the air, there was a tremendous stir and movement to try and get it back. (as far as I can remember) So on that front, if you like science fiction, theres a good chance you will enjoy it.

2- A few of us here know that you do a vast amount of buying and selling on EBAY.
Personally I would buy them watch the show. (give season two a try anyhow) If for some reason you don't like it, just resell them on EBAY and recoup your money. Of course keep them in good shape, and it shouldn't be a problem.
Hell, you might even make a few bucks on them, and get to watch the show on top of it.
For that matter, even if you only buy with the intent of reselling then it looks attractive, especially if the 4th season sells for that much.

If you do intend on watching, I might try and find a few season one episodes online to give you a bit of background also, before just "jumping in" to season 2.

Coincidentally, I just this minute finished watching the FINAL episode of Farscape tonight after going through the entire series from the start. A gret start. Season 3 really lost its way but season 4 made up for it. The ending... I guess you guys wanted a season 5 but didn't get one ;)

Season 5 - yes we did. Unfortunately, we didn't get it. But they did give us the peace keeper wars before moving Ben and Claudia over to SG1.
