Steven Seagal brought movie-star clout and a cop’s authority to television.

His new A&E series, ‘Lawman,’ premiered back-to-back episodes on Wednesday night to record-breaking numbers, making it the most watched original show in the network’s history. The first episode pulled in a total of 3.4 million viewers and the second one added another 200,000 viewers.

‘Lawman’ follows the martial arts black belt actor’s “side job” as a deputy with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana and includes intimate, action-packed ride-alongs to crime scenes with Seagal and other officers. The show also features Seagal’s musical performances.

The series airs Wednesdays at 10 PM.

You can watch the first episode free online.(its only about 20 minutes)

All I can say is wow.......
This isn't my type of thing at all, but supposedly it is doing very well on A&E.
Apparently he has been doing this for 20 years, but I guess it was largely unknown until now.

Looks like he has gotten a bit out of shape too. :o

One would think he could find better work than this. Not that I ever cared alot for his movies though.
