Well, I am wondering what the rest of my PTE brethren think of this garbage.

I happened to tune in a few minutes ago, and I have to admit ,it might be the poorest excuse for "sports entertainment" ever.
I vaguely remember this from when I was a young tyke, and I guess maybe I could stomach it a bit better then.

As far as I could tell, the only redeeming factor here was the presence of this.......................

If I never watch blabbering Hulk Hogan and this shite again, then I am far better off.

Indeed. I caught it as well because I, too, watched as a kid. Of course, I thought it was entertaining back then, but the juiced up gladiators now look particularly cartoonish (mainly the men).

TZ DZ, I agree with you - she is the only redeeming quality...

15 years of death - why, oh why, did they have to revive this P-O-Shite theater?

Oh yeah - writers strike ...

I believe its been in the works for many months as well adam, so I agree. Still doesn't stop it from being a P.O.S. though.

Oh, I have no doubts that it has been in the works for many months - those damn Asian sweat shops needed enough time to get all that spandex outta storage and make the new uniforms. :ROTF:

Lo and behold I hear this P.O.S. has been renewed for another season.

I guess the stupidity of the average american TV viewer should never be underestimated. :wtf:

You got to love how they "pipe in" the loud applause, and when you look around the arena, its actually very small with few people. (far less than could generate the cheering that you hear anyway)

Ah yes, Gina "Conviction" Carano aka Crush. Crush indeed, as I've had a crush on her now ever since seeing her on that MMA broadcast on CBS a couple of weeks back. Not only great looking with a great smile and personality, but a pretty damn good fighter. If she could only start to make weight consistently. Rumors are she might get into acting. Are those real, do you think?

Real or not real, I think she is hot. Now the show on the other hand, is nothing I want to see.

If I happened to tune in and see her on, then I may pause and check her out, but I am not one of those guys that tunes in just to see the next piece of arse.

She OTOH, is hot. I might make an exception for her. Image

Good to see you around again Anthony, where the Hell have you been hiding, except playing games................... :)

I've been attached to the original since I first set eyes on it (though I missed most of the 2nd version). I own as many episodes as I can get. And it's nothing to do with "POS" or "guilty pleasures" or a morbid urge to watch "dumb sports" vs. "worthwhile sports" (someone go ahead and define THOSE two things with facts instead of opinions, for chrissake!). I've always watched it because it's an entertaining show.
