The NEW Outer Limits has been a complete f@%k up from day one.
They finally release Season One, then they produce those ignorant "collections".

Collection type releases are fine with me, but at least release the whole damn show.

As it stands there is a TON of episodes that aren't released yet.

(in the TZ case, with the collections it was only like 2 episodes that weren't released)

But its a load of eps that haven't made it to DVD of the new OL series. :x
They have an automatic paying customer in me, if they ever release these properly.

QUICK EDIT You can watch the entire Journeyman series here directly on the board though bro............

Actually, I think season one was released after the collections. I also almost forgot One Step Beyond, which also has the individual volumes and there's ads for a complete series, but who the hell knows when that will finally come out.

Well, I know what you mean, but the point is, that its just a complete bunch of shite.

There are ALOT of fans of this show, and there is plenty of noise about buying the DVDs.

Hell , there was a TON of seasons.

That's okay, I got most of them and the rest I'm getting from another collector who made some great menus to go with his set of the show.

I never saw any of these on Showtime.

But I do know there was some nudity in some of them, not that its a bad thing. I believe Alyssa Milano was in one, called "Caught in the Act".
I think it had some nudity, and if thats the case, then I'll pay extra.

Anthony, you will be glad to know the above titlesare on DVD! (In one form or another)
The Fugitive is now on Season 2, Vol 1 (they are splitting the seasons so they can make more cash even though the big whigs never dreamed an old black and white quality television drama could make any hard cash for them! Duh!)
Beckeris on season 1,
Beavis and Butthead have a few seasons,
Dream On has 1 & 2
Night Gallery is stuck on Season 1
One Step Beyond has several boxed sets out, not sure the quality or if all three seasons are out

I honestly cannot think of any that I want to be released off the top of my head....The Invaders was finally released this past month and that is an awesome Sci-Fi show, if you have never seen it.....others I have waited for are coming out, but if I think of any others I will post! :D

The State did post a promo on their official site about a release, but still no release date yet. I'd love to see that as well, since I heard they would also include You Wrote It, You Watch It, which I thought was hilarious on MTV. The Wonder Years has been on the top 2 or 3 on the tv shows on dvd site in votes for a long time now, must be because there was a lot of music used on the show. Daria made the top 5 recently, they might have a similar problem, but at least we got the movies released on DVD.

They need to get on top of that "Are you afraid of the dark" (1990s) Somebody has managed to upload them all on youtube, but many want a DVD set.
As far as Wonder Years and The State, they are either on netflix or were at some point. Not sure about season sets.

State's on DVD. Wonder Years have good bootleg sets, which is the only hope as the music for that and Batman are way too expensive for a DVD release, and Cold Case too. Managed to get come good Cold Case copies off air, Wonder Years is shown on The Hub channel, so new, good quality copies can be made or found.

Just for the record, Are You Afraid of the Dark was released on region 1 in Canada. You can get every season from the Canadian Amazon site. Here's the link from the TV Shows on DVD site. They went out of print, but are being re-released, starting with Season 1 in May:

Where (or what site) do you get your bootleg copies offline Anthony?

There are 1-2 things I am looking for, and thats about the only choice I have on some of those I am trying to find.
Thankfully, in today's world the technology is available to get decent quality bootlegs, and you can find them in alot of places online if you look around enough.

Coronet Blue
One Step Beyond (Magic Mushroom episode)

Original Outer Limits "The Inheritors pt 1 and 2" NOT smushed together which eliminates the closing narration of pt 1 and opening narration in pt 2. Only HULU seems to get it and had them up as individual teleplays.

Danger Man half hour eps
Men into Space (1950s syndicated)

World of Giants (a ZIV production, with Arthur Franz; I am President of The Arthur Franz Appreciation Society)

Big World of Little Adam (USAF/Brazilian kids' educational space & science animated show)

Episode of Soupy Sales: with "Your Brains Will Fall Out" song; episode asking kids to take money out of daddys' wallets and mail same to Soupy, "Look out for Danger" episodes wherein Soupy plays a Sam Spade type in a mystery serial-within-the show

The Name of the Game
I Spy (half hour B & W 1950s)
Every minute of CBS News space program coverage, JFK death EVERY MINUTE of each
"The Special Dreamers" PBS Harlan Ellison hosted 1 hr special with Spinrad, Le Guin etc
"Steam Bath" PBS
syndicated speculative ecology 1 hr special titled "1985" which featured real newsmen acting as themselves when world comes to end due to eco-problems

I may think of others later!

BTW, New Outer Limits did have nudity almost every ep for at least first two seasons; best was Vallerie 29 and it's sequel.

My biggest one is the one-season sitcom ON THE ROCKS, the American version of the BBC show PORRIDGE. Unlike ALL IN THE FAMILY etc., the British hit show didn't become an American hit show, but I've always been very sentimental about it. Since PORRIDGE WAS a very big hit, I always wish that "completists" (in either country) would try to cause an ON THE ROCKS DVD to happen.

There are supposedly great "underground" copies of The Wonder Years.(some call them bootleg, or whatever)

Fortunately in this day and time, we can have such things, or at least take the very tiny risk of purchasing them.
I looked into this some time back, but the reason The Wonder Years will absolutely NEVER get released onto DVD , at least in an official capacity, is because of the music.
The score had so many cues and songs that are copyrighted, its simply a nightmare trying get that straight with all the artists.

Since everybody wants their chunk of change, its not ever going to happen.
I think at one time there was talk of some type of "altered release", where all the music was redone, but that never came to pass as far as I know.
It was such a big cult hit, I'm sure there is a market for DVDs....but the soundtrack would have to be almost reworked from the beginning since there were so many popular songs used in that show.

I haven't researched it in some time, and maybe there is talk of an altered release, but I don't know anything about it if there is one.
Kind of a shame too. That type of show isn't historically my cup of tea, but that one was pretty damn good in my opinion.

Stop the press.........................!!

A quick search on The Wonder Years has come up with this batch of good news.
Apparently The Wonder Years is finally coming to DVD after all. (in an official, proper release with original music)

http://tvshowsondvd.com/n/19455

http://wonderyearsdvds.com/?utm_source= ... nouncement

I don't know if this is one show that I would ever actually own, but in many ways I'm glad its finally going to see a proper release.

Yep, was just going to post this. I'm waiting for an official announcement myself, but am at least glad that the people in charge of this are actually trying to acquire the original music. There's also a rumor, believe it or not, of a Batman release this year. Wonder Years and Batman were two shows people thought would never be released either, so this gives me some hope. And if Batman is released, I would think Green Hornet wouldn't be far behind. Which reminds me, I need to update my list.

37. Help Me Help You
38. You Can’t Do That on Television (one of the top 5 most requested shows on the TV shows on DVD site)
39. The Adventures of Pete and Pete (Third and final season)
40. Dream On (Seasons 3, 4, 5 and 6)

44. The Inside

48. Fear Itself
49. Random Play
50. Journeyman
51. Aliens in America
52. One Step Beyond (Complete Series)
53. The Hitchhiker
The Green Hornet

List is down to about 39, not bad. I keep a favorite TV shows list in Word and check every now and then to see if there are any unreleased shows I like that I can find all of and if I can, I order them and make sure they're on my favorites list.

Quick correction, Anthony -- #48. Fear Itself is on DVD. I own it and it appears that you can buy it from amazon for a mere $12.58!

Maybe 37 as Random Play is not as important to me.

Stop the press.........................!!

A quick search on The Wonder Years has come up with this batch of good news.
Apparently The Wonder Years is finally coming to DVD after all. (in an official, proper release with original music)

I don't know if this is one show that I would ever actually own, but in many ways I'm glad its finally going to see a proper release.

Here's a picture of the set - love it! Now, it would appear that it's only a DVD release. This set is going to go for quite the coin but, maybe I'm being greedy here, I feel like if they were going to go through all the trouble to finally get this show released, they should release it in Blu-Ray as well. I would most definitely buy it if on Blu-Ray; DVD is questionable.
