This is some great news for people who like bad news :yack:
TNT is bringing back a new rebooted cryptkeepker (how unfortunate) for a 10 episode season, to be produced by the controversial director. I like m nights work, but I don't see why he has to remake such a great horror anthology show. Only time will tell.

Well, I think in many ways this is a bad thing, to tinker with one of the "classics" in that sense.

But lets call a spade a spade here.
There is so damn little good anthology work on TV, I don't think we should necessarily bitch about it before it comes on.

Will it be as strong as the original? Probably not.
But then again, it is likely to be better than the vast majority of garbage on TV today.
Sadly, like everyone sort of does, we will probably try and compare it to the original run. That is bound to happen yet can't you admit that is a little unfair....?
Similarly a newer Twilight Zone would also be compared to the original, and we all know it just won't stand up to the original.
Its just not a fair way to look at it.

TFTC was never my favorite in that sense, but it had enough similarities to some of my likes that I gave it a crack here and there, and often enjoyed it.
I may not watch this straight away, but I will surely give it a chance at some point.
The fact that Shyamalan is putting his name on it, well its not like he hasn't done great work in the past.
(the real travesty of this is, even if he does a cracking job and churns out some great work, since its anthology work, it will be looked down upon in many TV circles for that alone)

It may not be exactly my cup of tea, but I for one am rooting for Shyamalan to turn this go around into a winner. (even though its not likely to happen)

Now if only DrMoreau would make an appearance and give us his take.
This kinda stuff is right in his wheelhouse.
Perhaps Lazy and whit can chime in also.

The Cryptkeeper always cracked me up. I did like the episode with Micheal Ironside and Kim Delaney. DAMM she was hawt in the 90's!

I am looking forward to seeing what they come up with. I've tried watching so much TV. My latest was "Penny Dreadful" which had the slightest of story line, just enough to get the viewer to the gore and sex.
