3. BSG
4. Buck Rogers
5. Farscape
6. Stargate
7. OTHER

Well, I love all the Star Wars movies, even the new ones I think are good....
I love the original cast of Star Trek and I did love this new reboot of Star Trek that explains how they all get together.....
I could never get into Stargate of the new Galactica even though I did try...maybe another time.....

Yeah GL after 70 years radio-television combined!

OK, of all those series you mentioned MrZ, do you like any of the sequels to any of them you mentioned...
like Star Wars Clone Wars, Star Trek TNG, etc....

Brick house

All sound cool.

There was a book series on Mars ( about planet colonization, it was sadly boring, imho), wondering, would you
be interested in stories on space/planet colonies?
Thanks

1. The Mall
2. Strip Mall
3. Local stores
4. Big box stores

Home Theatre, I do not care for going to the movies, too pricey, too restrictive, not my thing.

Might write the stories here, not sure when.

Do you like to see:

1. People do minor make-overs on themselves ( minor touch-ups, like dying hair, new outfits, etc...)
2. Total make-overs ( hair transplants, face lifts, facial resurfacing, body implants, etc...)
3. Try to do things naturally: shave balding heads, work-out, eat more healthy to improve skins collagen, etc...)
4. Remain the same ( Beauty is in the eye of beholder, people should accept us how we are, that line of thought)
5. OTHER ( none of the above)
6. All the above ( except 5, lol )

Btw, this is NOT a trick question, or a judgmental question, I am just curious, I personally like different components of all the above. :D :D :D

Which do you prefer to see:

1. Cartoons into Live Action movies ( ala Popeye ( w/Robin Williams), could you imagine a Live Action Simpsons, Family Guy, etc..)
2. The reverse ( imagine an animated Seinfeld animated, or CSI, or West Wing, or some other series animated)
3. Other

I have enjoyed the live action to cartoon series before....Star Trek TOS with the original voices too, Scooby Doo did several movies with live actors or their characters in them and those were fun as well. There are others I am missing I know....I would NOT want to see Family Guy as a live action, sorry, I enjoy the cartoon in brief bits as it does/can get tiresome, it is funny in a crude sort of way....lol, but not live!!!

Yeah, I agree with you on the overratedness of some episodes. I am sure there are people who will say the episodes I love are overrated, so it goes...

I am not much a fan of The Family Guy, I rarely find the show funny, sorry to any fan out there.

I too wish more people would jump in with choices, even done before stuff, we can always revisit.

I do not think this was done before. I love sit down diners best (especially old time type, they remind me of the Zone).

Well, I do enjoy eating with my family and then I do enjoy the times out alone with the wife......

OK, just thought of this, I know you are not the seeing movies in theater's type, I love to when I can, but if you were, which movie for fall are you most excited to see:

The Road w/ Charlize Theron and Viggo Mortensen
Carriers trying to outrun the end of the world w/Chris Pine (Kirk in the new ST)
9 When 9 (Elijah Wood) first comes to life, he finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world. All humans are gone....
Splice, a film I made a thread of months ago as I thought it sounded interesting, but little response....Clive and Elsa are superstars of the genetic engineering world. They specialize in splicing together DNA from different animals to create fantastical new hybrids.......
other
(this is mainly a Sept new release list....)

I never heard of any of these, lol. That is amazing. 9 sounds like my kind of movie ( I still would wait for it on DVD lol),
you know I love Where Is Everybody?

Splice sounds interesting. Sorry I never saw the thread :(

( The name 9 reminds me of District 9, which looks good).

Imagine it is the future, which do you prefer:

1. Movies that are Holograms ( like Star Trek Holodeck)
2. Perusing the net, and being able to taste, smell and feel anything on any site. ( OK, only positive sensations, lol)
3. A cell phone that is implanted in your brain.
4. Flying cars with robotic drivers

OK, I have watched General Hospital since 1981!! Now, sometimes I ff and miss days on end, but I have watched since '81.....

ER I watched from the get-go and then Clooney annoyed the hell out of me so I stopped and then he left and I watched it again...then when they kicked off Elizabeth, character married to Anthony Edwards, that pissed me off so I stopped again. Then the last 6 years or so I became a really avid watcher again and was really sad to see it end. I loved the fact they brought in Angela Bassett for the last season and thought/hoped they would continue it with her. They could have gone on forever with it, IMHO.
Angela was a client at the talent agency I worked for and the sweetest woman! I have a cool photo taken with her, she looks so sweet in it, but she is.

Back in the day loved Trapper John and Quincy with our old friend Klugman, of course. I knew Robert Ito as well.
Also loved Chicago Hope when Mandy Patinkin was on it, watched it in the beginning and then watched it the last two years after he returned, but then I love his work anyway. Grey's Anatomy I watch now and then, but it doesn't do much for me, I did watch Crossing Jordan in the beginning, but they pissed me off when they took her father, Ken Howard off the show. Never got into Dr Who either....

So, is your answer General Hospital? ( have you read the Mad Satire of in mad #230)?

I like/love alot of there series, Chicago Hope was overshadowed by ER in my opinion, I like CH better, sorry.
I do like Julianna Margulies from ER, and think it is a reat show too.

More choices pls. :D

Oh, I know I got stuck and then forgot to go back to it....I too also liked CH better, but then they took it off the air and as I say I did not watch it without Mandy and then they killed off Peter MacNichol which totally alienated me from it as well.....so yeah I guess GH is the one since I can't let it go....

um let's see.....movies coming out tomorrow include:

Halloween II
Rob Zombie's attempted remake part II
Adam-which we are interested in seeing as it is about a man with Asperger's syndrome which our son has (a form of Autism) and it supposedly is true to life on his attempts at living on his own and an attempt at romance....interesting sounding to us...
not many films on this subject (don't feel obliged to vote this one I just put it out there....)
Taking Woodstock-about said festival
The Final Destination-yet another flick in that franchise

Adam sounds great, first the name always conjures up religion for me. I think its going to be an important movie ( in regards to Psychology community, and related), from the sound of it.
Sadly I never heard of it, and never saw clips.

I want to see Halloween II, due to the clips I have seen, plus I am hoping that this one will be better than the first Halloween.

Franchises:
1. Friday The 13th
2. Halloween
3. Nightmare On Elm Street
4. Evl Dead
5. Phantasm
6. Exorcist
7. Poltergeist
8. OTHER

I liked Polterguist when they were out and then the first few Nightmare flicks, but other than those two the rest I think are a bunch of crap-ola!! Call me crazy, but I never saw the magic of The Exorcist either! Other than the hysterical lines that Mercedes McCambridge uttered when she was possessed!! Those made for great phone call gags back in the day..... :D

Other franchises:

Spider Man
Batman--any series of flicks
Superman--any variations
Vacation movies

Oh, I too, love those Abbott & Costello meet...movies...

and my favorite western series of all time is Gunsmoke, which I am now happy to say they are slowly releasing each season on DVD. I never thought they would do that since it was so long a run.I always loved the camaraderie between the characters. One always knew that Chester and Doc cared for each other, as did Festus and Doc and, of course Miss Kitty loved them all, but Matt was her man. It was and is a marvelous show that stands the test of time. Star Trek TOS is very much the same way, with the characters and their camaraderie. Good good shows.

Let me see.....

Cop shows:

Hawaii 5-0
Barnaby Jones
TJ Hooker
NYPD Blue
Cannon
The FBI
other

can you tell I grew up in the 70's Quinn-Martin productions era?! :ROTF: :wtf:

I think my favorite is The Bob Newhart Show for ensemble comedy....what a great cast, but all those mentioned are pretty darn good.....never have understood Scrubs though!

OK, how about "Star" comedies, after a successful run the stars go on to their own shows:

Becker (Danson)
Too Close for Comfort (Ted Knight after MTM)
Mama's Family (Betty White & Rue Mclanahan after MTM & Maude respectively)
Golden Girl's (same two!!)
Frasier
I know there are a ton others but maybe we list them another time?!

I have studied in the medical field, so perhaps that is why I like Scrubs, some fo these type of personalites
seem to permeate there.

You have some fine choices,

I maybe in the minority, yet, I enjoy Becker, it seems to get beaten up alot. Becker's my choice.

TCFC was a choice I was planning to put on my list, so I do love this series,
Ted Knight And Jim J. Bullock had some great chemistry, lol.
MF and GGs, interesting choices :D
Frasier was an ok show.

Sci-Fi sitcoms

1. ALF
2. Mork and Mindy
3. Third Rock From the Sun
4. Other

You know when ALF was on I was too old for that kind of humor and didn't really care for it, although I can see the appeal of it, also was a teen when Mork & Mindy came around and after awhile I grew tired of that Na-new Na-new shite!! I honestly cannot remember any "others" off hand??

OK: Cliff Robertson is 86 today, which I cannot believe!!
Which of his 3 episodes do you like the best, TZ & TOL, that is"

The Dummy
A Hundred Yards Over the Rim
The Galaxy Being

My fav on your list: A Hundred Yards... wow, this episode is classic television, the mood, the visuals, its nostalgic, his acting is
superb, I can go on and on.
That being said, I still love The Galaxy Being, its my favorite TOL episode, its perfect as a pilot of that show,
it has alot of intelligent writing, the scientific terms were impressive for that time, plus the meaning was deep, great concept,
high praise from me.
I generally do not like doll episodes, I think The Dummy is ok, CR delivers a stellar performance here, yet this episode
did not interest me, nor scare me, sorry.

Mr. M, Telly Salvalas, aka Kojak, is a pure thespian, who can make any role fantastic, so I concur, that being said, Talky Tina without Telly is trivial and tiresome. imho

Paint for the win, I just painted my house, the front door and door frame are bright white. Wall paper makes me cringe, every other sitcom has people wallpapering walls to dissatifactory results as you are probably aware.

1. House with a pool
2. House on the lake
3. House on a hill
4. Other

Ghost Story (1981)
Ghost Town (2008)
The Haunting (1999)
House on Haunted Hill (1999)

With the new Kia Soul we purchased over the summer they give a 3 month free Sirius Radio and I must say we are having lots of fun with it. Otherwise in the other car during the paper route I listen mainly to AM there is a fun overnight show called "Overnight America" with Jon Grayson I like to listen to and then sometimes I listen to CD's of Old Time Radio SHows, listening to Frontier Gentleman, The Whistler, The Great Gildersleeve and Sgt Preston of the Yukon.....

Do you watch any reality shows?:

Kathy the D-List (whatever it's called)
The Biggest Loser (TZ's show!)
Dancing with the Stars
other
