With the sale that Target had going on I couldn't pass it up. If you bought an Xbox 360 Pro (the 60 GB version) for the standard retail price of $299.99 they also threw in two free games (Lego Indiana Jones, which looks pretty damn cool and Kung Fu Panda which looks lame) along with a free 12 month subscription to XBox Live ($50 value) and a $60 Target gift card. I immediately purchased the system, scratched off said gift card and purchased Gears Of War 2 with it. I also picked up NBA 2K9 on sale for $40 for offline fun. I basically picked up a little over $600 worth of stuff for $340. With that deal I just couldn't pass it up. I brought it home, hooked it up and the games were great but I couldn't stand watching it on my standard def TV so I also went out and picked up this bad boy:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 5537514967

I got them to price match me for $1400 too, along with giving me six months same as cash. I am hereby in HD gaming heaven!

If anybody out there has a 360 send me a friend request. My gamer tag is Dislimb420

Nice hook-up, even if it is a 360 system.

The Lego Series - Indy, Star Wars, Bat Man, etc are all pretty damn fun. The Star Wars Lego is better then anything Lucas Arts released as far as repeat play.

Nice buy on the Samsung as well!

I still love the PS3 (after all, it is superior, hardware wise) but there really aren't any games on it at the moment that I want to play. Gears Of War 2 was basically a system seller for me. The gameplay in that game is just absolutely addicting and all of my friends play it online so it is nice to have.

Nice TV...120Hz...

Cyril, some of my gamer friends have been talking a lot about "Left For Dead". It's supposed to be pretty engrossing.

I'm a little jealous. I only have a PS2 and a Wii. My wife bought the Wii (I find it boring for the most part, I don't like the controller either) and I have not made the jump to PS3 or 360. My kids are young but I won't allow them to play Mature titles, well, because they aren't mature yet. From what I've read, I think the online game play and Mature games are where the 360 shines. I've not heard many good things about the PS3 as a gaming console, mostly raves about it's capability as a Blu-Ray player.

Of course, I am only an interested outsider, so what do I know.

An entertaining statement............

I'm old and I doubt I will ever be mature so I suppose I am missing out.

Check out Dead Rising too. It's like Dawn of the Dead. Bully: Scholarship Edition and Grand Theft Auto 4 are pretty damn fun too.

May I take the opportunity to announce I'm working on the campus that created Dead Space right now

Some of the concept art is awesome!

Dead Space looks really cool and Fallout 3 looks like it may be the game of the year. I intend on picking up both titles in the near future.

How are you liking it? My brother has one. If you do the XBox Live I'm sure you can get involved with some of the games he plays. He rarely pops in here, but you can pm him (publicmenace69), wake him up and steer him over here.

I got the cheap arcade version which doesnt come with most of the essentials for LIVE..including a hard drive. Anyway my roomates all have XBOX LIVE so i am constantly playing with them ....games like FALLOUT 3 and CALL OF DUTY are great.
