I give a Band's Name ( the Obscurer the better), you give another, please lets do it alphabetically, thanks, such as:

I give : Abba
You give : Bush
Someone else gives : Clash, The
Another person : Depeche Mode

And so on:
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________
I will start:

Acid Horse

( This band was a side-project between two industrial pioneers, Ministry and Cabaret Voltaire , only one single was released in 1989 on Wax Trax! records. )

PS: If you want to add a comment about the band you post, please do so, thanks.

Let Go - "Spotlights"

Damn I love this song! Total Power Pop with slamming chords, great harmonies, terrific ending. This band was put together by a guy named Jamie Woolford. He used to live here in Minneapolis and had an awesome band generically named "The Stereo". He moved to Arizona and formed a band with an equally generic name, this band, called "Let Go".

I know many of you don't care, but this is exactly the type of music I spent the most time trying to promote with my Whitsbrain.com site and Internet radio station. Listening to this song, makes me want to bring it back.

There's nothing too hip about this kind of music (Power Pop). I just love bands that make me want to pickup a guitar, plug into an amp and crank it!

I figured if anyone here knew who they were it would be you. I bought a few promo records at Goodwill Saturday. I was familiar with most of the bands except for Misery Index, Black Army Jacket and Econochrist. The Misery Index record was a 3-song Ep with a track called Sixth Finger on one side. This of course is a tribute to the Outer Limits episode and the 3 band members are represented by monsters from the show. The Black Army Jacket cover has scenes from Planet of the Apes so there's the Serling connection.

That is actually not the same Misery Index that is currently active and has ex-members of Dying Fetus in it. The Misery Index I was thinking of is based out of Maryland and was formed in 2001 and has several full length albums out. The one you have there is a one off thing from Illinois that made that back in 1994 so who knows?

Love Journey too. Even got the box set. Anyone ever hear their first three albums? They're very different because they were more progressive rock/fusion sounding, probably because keyboardist Gregg Rolie was doing the singing on those albums and because both Rolie and guitarist Neal Schon had played with Santana previously. It was with their fourth album, Infinity, that Steve Perry then became lead vocalist and they started writing, recording and releasing the hits they're now known for these days.
