Also, I gotta include three songs I really love, which are In The City by Joe Walsh and Last of an Ancient Breed by Desmond Child featured in my favorite movie The Warriors.

The third is featured in the Warriors video game, a great tune called Shake It by Ian Matthews

My personal favorite is a toss up between On The Dark Side, by Jon Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band. Cafferty's music is featured in the two Eddie and The Cruisers movies:

And What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong, featured in the movie Good Morning Vietnam, starring Robin Williams as real life Armed Forces Radio DJ Adrian Cronauer:

Also, anyone else here like hard rock/heavy metal. If so, get the hairspray out cause we're gonna spin some classic vinyl with Kix, here's a classic blast from the past, Cold Blood:

"Killing in the name " by Rage Against the machine! This song has a great drum beat, cool guitar riffs. I like the passion of the singer.

The message is against bigotry, and racism, coupled with a fast rhythm: you got one of the greatest songs.

Thats one of their best but I think "Bulls on parade" is by far their greatest single

Co-sign on Bulls....

I havent heard that one myself but I love POD. That song is on the Payable on Death CD right?
I love "Set your eyes to Zion" and "Setellite" some of my favorites....

I listened to POD when I was in college -- still like a bunch of their songs.

My faves include:

Southtown
Rock The Party (Off The Hook)
Bullett The Blue Sky

Right now I'm listening to the band Lostprophets alot. I even put a mix together compiling a bunch of my favorite tracks from all their albums; as a Carnivale fan, I titled the mix "Every Prophet In His House" (fans of the show will get this reference).

Here are my top 5 from each album:

The Fake Sound of Progress

Shinobi vs. Dragon Ninja
The Fake Sound of Progress
Awkward
The Handsome Life of Swing
For Sure

Start Something

Wake Up (Make A Move)
Burn, Burn
Hello Again
Last Train Home
Sway

Liberation Transmission

Can't Catch Tomorrow (Good Shoes Won't Save You This Time)
Everyday Combat
4:AM
Everybody's Screaming!!!
A Town Called Hypocrisy

The Betrayed

If It Wasn't For Hate We'd Be Dead By Now
It's Not The End of The World But I Can See It From Here
The Light That Burns Twice As Bright
A Better Nothing
Sunshine

Hope you check out some of the songs and enjoy!

Great geek video. Just a bunch of talented nerds playing a great song. Love the new wave synths, power chords and Geddy Lee style vocals. Seriously whats not to like?

This song popped up on shuffle on my iPod today - one of my favorites from Nural. Good band to listen to driving on a nice sunny summer day, IMO.

I like Shinedown, but don't know particular songs by them. If they're on, I'll listen to them. I also like Theory of a Deadman...similar style IMO.
