I love this singer, Paul Davis. He had some monster hits in the 70's-80's and I found a compilation CD that came out last year that has all his hits on it--^5 Love Affair, I go Crazy, Cool Night, etc. I was thinking of writing to him to find out WTH he doesn't record anymore. I read somewhere that said he got tired of the BS and moved back home to MS where he recorded country albums. In any event I discovered he died a day after his 60th birthday last year-2008!! So I am bummed, this great singer is gone. I had no idea he had hair that long either! I always pictured him a bubble gum, Bobby Sherman type of a look!! He was another one I grew up with........and gone........but at least we have the CD's, albums, etc....

I am in not a Madonna fan whatsoever but I seem to have this song stuck in my head and the video is pretty cool watching her perform for this french tv show. The song has a great beat.....its an old beat from Stardust....not to mention that her voice is really great. This song will get the hotties in the mood at the club ....its about finding love on the dance floor...if thats even possible.

I really like the vocals here, is this Ann-Margaret and Elvis Presley? I like this classic swinging sound, the instrumentation is great, man.
I do like Ann's Passion. ( Gwen Stephani's crooning sounds abit like her's , imho).

I love the mad stylings of that cool cat D.J. Moreau, groovy baby, way out. Love the PtE Radio :D

Actually, that is Brian Setzer (Formerly of The Stray Cats) and Gwen Stefani (No Doubt) singing and swinging. Good ear, MC_Z :D Here is a little more for you, if you are ...

I love this song, great choice, Sir SVB. Wow, the video is amazing, the past many decades have seen lt of of tumult and tumoil, and thankfully alot of advancements, and change.

I feel this song has a very positive meaning, to unite the world. If we can imagine that, we can imagine greatness.

Lennon/ A Perfect Circle, bravooooo!!!

That is an interesting video, StillValleyBard. To think, here in America, parents are claiming that Halo and similar games should be banned for their violent content. If only they concentrated their efforts to prevent those children from being exposed to violence.

I was thinking about the subject myself after viewing this song and video.

All I have to say is toy guns. The fact that toy guns are made and exist in america and everywhere else speaks volumes about the world we live in....and how screwed up everything is. Who hasnt played with a toy gun ....we are introduced to guns almost at birth. Same with violent video games etc. I think for most part people just have to show restraint and I dont believe such things make killers. Its just that once and awhile there are just stupid people with no consequences that murder and kill, whether they played Grand Theft Auto or played with a toy musket.

Nice topic guys.

Video games don't make people violent - lack of parental guidance and a healthy outlet does. There have been several studies done on the effects of exposure to violence in video games and cartoons. In most cases, the children and teens exposed to violence in vids and toons were actually less prone to violent acts in social interaction. Human beings by nature have a deep seeded violent gene - not just here in America - it's as old as Cane and Able. By banning and denying exposure only drives children and adults to look for it in other outlets. Most, I can only assume, being non healthy and producing the side effects as we see in the last minutes of the above video.

Yes, I was a fan of their (rise against) earlier stuff. I sort of lost touch with anything in the recent times.

I never heard the earlier stuff, I guess our radio stations did not play them when they were obscure, sadly.

I enjoy the recent stuff; yet, I see people commenting on youtube, their earlier stuff is better, I shall search the older stuff out, I'm glad you liked their earlier mat erial :D

Yeah check it out, it's good stuff. I have their first 3 albums: The Unraveling (2001), Revolutions Per Minute (2003), Siren Song of the Counter Culture (2004). I also have their 4th album, The Sufferer and the Witness (2006), downloaded to my ipod. I have not listened to anything since then (I think they have 2 more albums).

I believe Triple H used Bown Down to the King a few times for his entrance music, as he has often been referred to as "The King of Kings", although I much prefer his use of "The Game" and "Line in the Sand" and prefer those songs as well. Motorhead is awesome though. And if you like Katy Perry, I might suggest California Gurls, I think they spell it. Snoop Dogg makes an appearance in the video.

Also, I love the lyrics and video for her song "You're So Gay", a song about metrosexuals and girly men. It goes "You're so gay and you don't even like boys"
