BROKEN - by Seether feat. AMY Lee ( 2004 ) featured in The Punisher Film

I listen to very few sad songs, yet here the combined vocals are passionate and harmonic.
Both have incredible voices, and the instrumentation is superb as well.

"Killing in the name " by Rage Against the machine! This song has a great drum beat, cool guitar riffs. I like the passion of the singer.

The message is against bigotry, and racism, coupled with a fast rhythm: you got one of the greatest songs.

Oh I love both of those songs. LoL, I think I like "Set your eyes to Zion" more though. Yes, its on the Payable on Death cd. I think another really great song right now is Franz Ferdinand-"Take Me On". I like "Do You Wanna" too, but my sister can't stand it.

Rise Against - Re-Education (Through Labor)

Love this song sooooo much, never get sick of it.

I remember the first time I heard Rise Against, back in college senior year. My cousin had a Fat Wreck Chords compilation with the track 'Join the Ranks' -- a high-powered 1:26 song. The original guitarist and current bassist were former members of my favorite punk band 88 Fingers Louie. I really liked the first album, most of their second, then my interest diminished with the third, but the last 2 have been better and more reminiscent of their older stuff.

Thanks for the info, I shall have to listen to the their earlier stuff. I love this song better than most stuff out there.

Beaten Generation by The The

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isUCQIvO ... re=related

Ok, this song is abit bluesly, folksy, yet still was popular with an underground subsect.
Its beat and rhythm is a bit tame compared to what I listen to normally;however, I do love the
vocals, and I think its catchy. What also makes this song so great is its deep lyrics such as :

The beaten generation, the beaten generation
Reared on a diet of prejudice and mis-information
------------------------------------------------------
And they send in the special police
To deliver us from liberty and keep us from peace
-------------------
This is a bit of ambiguous phrasings; like with the 1st Star Wars movie,
Leftists thought its about the Extreme Right, and vice versa.

"Substitute" by The Who. It takes a RELATIVELY simple idea (the well-off girl and the "boy from the wrong side of the tracks") and makes a really unusual song out of it.

I like that Katy Perry song, its fun and funny.

I liked Rap since the early 80s, and now have got into R and B ( I am probably in the minority here) due to listening to my wive's favorite radio station.

Anyhow, I like this song:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXW5-JaSP98

Its by T.I. f. Justin Timberlake

I just found this:

This got almost double the hits as the original song they are parodying.

"Join Together" by The Who. Partly for a lopsided reason - every time I hear about entertainment (not just music, any entertainment) that's supposedly for one group - liberals, conservatives, gays, straights, men, women, nerds, non-nerds, this generation, that generation, and on and on and on, I think about that line
"Do you really think I care / What you read or what you wear?"
I know those remarks aren't always meant to be taken literally (though I could swear that they're meant EXACTLY that way A LOT of the time), but they always make me want to say to those people "It's ENTERTAINMENT!! It doesn't have to belong to some 'niche'!!" And that simple little line sums it up very well.

The last concert I went to was in Chicago, 3 persian pop singers, that was almost a decade ago. I doubt I will go see No Doubt, pun intended.
What about you, are you going?

Cool vid, expensive production value NOT, yet this is my very favorite ND song!!!!! Thanks.

Excellent choice sir! My favorite Foo Fighters song to date. Follow that with 'Everlong' and 'Hey, Johnny Park!'.

The Police - Wrapped Around Your Finger

Police - Wrapped around your finger

Funny part is when I use to work at a Rite Aid* and they pumped in cheesy music all day this was one of the songs, but I could never figure out what the hell he was saying. I use to think he was saying "I'll be...master of your fever." For about a year I thought that, until I went to "That Other Joint" and actually started a whole thread dedicated to this song, and realized it was "WRAPPED AROUND YOUR FINGER." Anyway, enjoy for all those Police fans....

(TZ DZ FAN if you are wondering how the hell did I work at Rite Aid and hit the mota all day, well :D , keep guessing, and yes I know you didnt wonder it, but I'm telling you anyway  Its a mystery :D ) Ok well its not a mystery I just didn't get piss tested haha) WHAT A COUNTRY!!!

WHAT A COUNTRY!!!!!
