hey, i forgot to note here that i got to see VILLAGE PEOPLE perform 3 weeks ago at the High Point Furniture Market. it was a good show. after it was over, i got to say hi to Felipe Rose but i got to actually talk with Alex Briley for a minute. i let him know that i have been a lifelong fan and that his version of "Save Me" that he sang lead on (a song that ONLY a REAL VP fan like me even know exists) was one of their best songs. his face immediately went into a look of appreciation and thanked me for saying that.

Unacquainted with Briley's version of the song. Glad he seemed appreciative.

on the "live and sleazy" album, there were two versions. one was up tempo with Ray Simpson on lead. the other was a ballad with Alex.
