DISH and other satellite/cable providers offer the XM music channels, and my favorite it SPA -- the "new age" or "ambient" music station.

I have two small speakers next to the headboard of my bed and they both play music from SPA at low volume, every night, all night long. I can't sleep without it. It is definitely "soothing to the soul of the savage breast" -- (rather than "beast", the common error made when quoting this Biblical phrase).

Sorry, guys. Just had to point that out.

Anyway, for years I've collected CD's and cassette recordings of this kinds of music from sources like Hearts of Space, but ever since SPA started providing me with this kind of music 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, I can't seem to find a reason to record it on tape or buy CDs.

Heck, I can switch my DISH station to it in my living room and listen to it on speakers or headphones while I making posts on Pushing the Envelope.

How cool is that?

Bud

Here in Richmond we have Comcast cable.

They have a vast array of music channels and occaisionally I have it on before I go out.
Its rare I have it on anymore, but its easy to find something you like and its damn convenient.

Biblical? :wtf: I thought we were quoting William Congreve and just didn't want to get sued by his ancestors. Learn something new everyday I tell ya. :D
