:ROTF: People play this at their weddings. That's a marriage that is sure to last. :ROTF:

Since it appears to be "GAY SATURDAY" at the behest of TZ DZ & Woodrow - Ladies & Gentlemen - Leo Sayer

So I finally figured out why woodrow is down there in Kansas after all.

They must have some of the best drugs in the country there.

Well I hate to pop/burst all the bubbles of the gentle folks out there in cyberspace, but a good of the entertainment world bats for the same team, yet that doesn't mean they are any less entertainers because of it....really now!
OK, back to the 80's, well this one is from 1976 actually...it's all good though... :D

That song probably had the most to do with it.

So that everyone is perfectly clear, the gayness had nothing to do with those performers sexual orientation. That last group of songs, excepts EJ's, were: weak, lame, suck-ass and ... gay.

Well, I am glad to hear that, but again, with all due respect, I disagree....I love all those pop-mellow-candy corn songs of the 1970's!
And I like those corny Starship songs too...I love em all...and here's another!

Ah, come on now, Loggins & Messina were one of the best duos in the early 70's....

Although I am not really a fan of Loggins, I remember this song vaguely from when I was little.
I have to admit I liked the original video, but while snooping around on youtube, I came across this slick one.

Its a fan tribute to "Big Trouble in Little China~!", set to the "I'm Free" song of Kenny Loggins.

This is awesome, especially if you liked the movie.

I believe whitsbrain said he didn't care for this song , although he did like the band.

Back in the day, these chicks could flat belt it out.

Sorry - I've been away for awhile but have been catching up on the videos. I must say, the Marc Almond was an inspired choice. I just can't get over it. Only Klaus Nomi could make this thing more gay. Of course, my man couldn't resist Kajagoogoo (he has the entire collection, including the Limahl solo catalog). If I could figure out how to post videos, you guys would be in for some nice ones. I'll see if I can figure it out.

By the way, there is no explanation whatsoever for Leo Sayer or the dreaded Kenny Loggins. No one can convince me either one has talent. Just horrible. Marc Almond wipes the floor with them.

I am the "my man" meatbag speaks of.
Unfortunately, I do NOT have anything by Kajagoogoo, except "Too Shy", which happens to be on my iPod mini.

I know that still brings me down a little on the meatbag musical totem pole, :D but thats ok. I liked it when I was young, but at least I recognize it for what it is.......... a gimmick song they got lucky with.

One night I will give you a buzz, (or you can call me) and I will talk you through the posting of the videos. Its easy actually, I tinkered with it a few times, then I got it right.

Now, I really didn't want this thraed kirred wiff da Faghnesss, but somehow some of it has creeped in.

On a more realistic note, I don't really know if Marc Almond wipes the floor with Loggins or Sayer.
But one thing is for sure.............I am certain he would want to be ON THE FLOOR with them.

I think I posted it before, but meatbag was overheard saying at a poker game recently............"Kenny Loggins should go to Hell for crimes against humanity".

By the way, I know meatbag recently capitalized on the deal at Best Buy with the Outer Limits sets, and hopefully he will chime in there, in the appropriate threads on the episodes.

Well, I grew up in the 70's and that Leo Sayer song and Kenny Loggins, first with the great Loggins and Messina and then solo were both a part of that growing up period, so that is why I like them, gay or not I don't give a shite.
That is why it is called "subjective" with our ideas on what is good, bad or otherwise. Look in another thread they say IMDB just named THe Dark Knight the greatest movie of all time! :yack:

Since I saw Chris Cornell at the Projekt Revolution tour earlier this week, here's my favorite Soundgarden track:

Link

Unfortunately he didn't sing "Fell On Black Days", but he did pop out some Soundgarden tunes - Spoonman, Black Hole Sun, Outshined; also hit up some Audioslave tracks: Like A Stone, Be Yourself; and sang Temple of the Dog's Hunger Strike. Of course he sang a couple songs from his solo stuff (names I don't know). It was just incredible to see him live. Even though I never saw Soundgarden, this was close enough for me, and I'm just glad for the experience.

Thanks for the Roxy. It's unfortunate that they didn't get much airplay (other than 'Love is the Drug') until the 'Avalon' LP that came out 10 years after their debut. They were ahead of their time though.

Now don't get defensive about my criticism of Loggins, Sayer et al. What could be more subjective than musical taste? Everyone has different opinions and I like many artists that many would consider an abomination. Here's one for DZ TZ (I hope I posted this correctly).

It's like I told you - Only the Lonely Get Laid Can Play ...

Link

And if we're gonna play some Patti Smith, well hell ... what a great song she and Springsteen wrote. I prefer the Natalie Merchant/10,000 Manics version - just as raw vocally, better symphonic sound, and hell, ain't Natalie a cutie.

A little more updated version than I was looking for but it still holds up -

Some nice selections. I like the different arrangement on 'Rebel Rebel'. Bowie is always thinking. A true original. Luv the Fear also. That pretty much sums it up. f@%k everyone.

OK, I'm just going to post another one. Then sit back & enjoy. Like Bowie, these guys are always reworking their stuff. And like Bowie, these guys were true originals.

The song I wanted to hear last night at his concert here in KC, but we left early because the sound was awful, muddy, over-modulated, horrible AND he started an Hour and 20 minutes late with no explanation! He's for the working man huh? If we had stayed we would not have gotten out of there until after midnight! A shame as he always started on time before.....sucks....disappointing to say the least...
