"Get in there before I make a dime bank outta ya"
Zeke/The Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr) says to the pigs
as he is shooing them into the sty in the Kansas segment of The Wizard of Oz.
I don't know why, but I have always liked that quote! :D

That puts me in mind of another Heston quote:

"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it. You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"

Planet of the Apes

Too true. I was fortunate to catch that movie soon after its' initial release, and I did not know about the ending. We take it for granted now but it does have an impact if you are lucky enough to see it with no advance warning.

I was lucky enough not to know the ending when I first saw it years ago too and I was reallly shocked by it, sadly I knew the ending of Soylent Green before I saw it, but great film that it is, I enjoyed never the less.

Here's another cool POTA quote by Heston:

Take your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape!

those were the first words spoken in front of the apes, it was awesome. This makes me want to watch it again.

White Heat , the 1949 James Cagney classic has so many classic quotes, if you haven't seen this film then go rent it, lots of double-entendres throughout:

Cody Jarrett (Cagney):Made it, Ma! Top of the world!

Image
Then this dialogue :

Cody Jarrett: [while eating a chicken leg, Jarrett speaks to Parker in the trunk of the sedan] How ya doin', Parker?
Roy Parker: It's stuffy in here, I need some air.
Cody Jarrett: Oh, stuffy, huh? I'll give ya a litte air.
[pulls a gun from his pants and shoots four times into the trunk]

you gotta see it, but I laugh every time.....

Really? See if you can catch an Oz episode online somewhere. If you like it, pick them up at the store or online because all the seasons are on DVD now.

I didn't quite get this movie. Why was Bardem's character chasing these other guys? Did they steal money from him or something? I think I missed some parts when my dad was watching it. Does he kill everyone or does anyone get away?

Crash was a damn good movie, but it doesn't hold a candle to NCFOM.

And the LotR trilogy sucks. I could never get into that fantasy crap.

Thank God it's a free country then! You can have that shite NCFOM because for my money the Cohen brothers are about the worst, overrated, just awful film makers of all time! :P :yack:

So, if you don't like that "fantasy crap" then are you saying you don't like TZ then? WTH do you think that show is? It's not all Sci-Fi!

Well, to follow up with the George Hamilton quotes from the same film:

Don Diego: Dere is-a something wrong with his bowels.
Bunny Wigglesworth: My what?
Don Diego: Jour bowels! The way you say your "ah", your "ee", and your… "jooz".

Here's one from Hamilton's other comedy made just before Gay blade, Love at First Bite (1979)

Villager: You dirty bat! You bit my mother!

Count Dracula: What is your name?

Villager: Alexei. Rugalov.

Count Dracula: No, Alexei. I bit your mother ... and your grandmother.

EASY RIDER
George Hanson: You know, this used to be a helluva good country. I can't understand what's gone wrong with it.

Billy: Man, everybody got chicken, that's what happened. Hey, we can't even get into like, a second-rate hotel, I mean, a second-rate motel, you dig? They think we're gonna cut their throat or somethin'. They're scared, man.

George Hanson: They're not scared of you. They're scared of what you represent to 'em.

Billy: Hey, man. All we represent to them, man, is somebody who needs a haircut.

GeorgeHanson: Oh, no. What you represent to them is freedom.

Billy: What the hell is wrong with freedom? That's what it's all about.

George Hanson: Oh, yeah, that's right. That's what's it's all about, all right. But talkin' about it and bein' it, that's two different things. I mean, it's real hard to be free when you are bought and sold in the marketplace. Of course, don't ever tell anybody that they're not free, 'cause then they're gonna get real busy killin' and maimin' to prove to you that they are. Oh, yeah, they're gonna talk to you, and talk to you, and talk to you about individual freedom. But they see a free individual, it's gonna scare 'em.

Billy: Well, it don't make 'em runnin' scared.

George Hanson: No, it makes 'em dangerous. Buh, neh! Neh! Neh! Neh! Swamp!
