That's what they said about the Giants last year ;)

You're correct there. :D

Defense wins championships.

I'm looking forward to see how Arizona works against that tough Steelers D. The offense has looked so good -- it'll be a fun matchup. I personally think Pitt can hold them, and Arizona's D is just not that good, despite Rolle, Wilson and Dansby.

Wow....thanks for the entertainment guys.

Cyril, congrats on your winning bets.

Go Steelers!

We had a good little time here. My brother, my friend & his girlfriend, and my cousin (a huge Steelers fan) came out, and we all went to my sister-in-law's place for pre-game. Then we headed back to our house for the game. Definitely enjoyed it, and I'm happy it was a close one -- made for good entertainment.

The commercials, on the other hand, were not that great -- only a select few that I liked.

Thanks, bro! I already got paid too. It took a grand total of 17 hours from the end of the game to collect my cash. Just the way I like it! ;)

This almost makes up for the huge loss I took in last year's Super Bowl. Coincidentally, the $100 I bet on the coin toss in last year's game was the only thing that kept me from losing a grand. Just the same, I didn't bet the coin toss this year for the first time in ages and I would have lost it if I did, as I always pick tails. I found it extremely interesting that the NFC has won the coin toss in the Super Bowl for 12 consecutive years. That is insane luck right there.

And you're right, the game was a great. At least the fourth quarter was! I'm bummed that the Steelers won, but my wallet is glad that they didn't win by 7+ points! :)

I've been informed that it's been mailed out -- to both of us. We should see it within the next couple of days.

I wish I could just forward my letter to you. I don't even want it.

I shudder to think how long it would have taken for you to get paid if I hadn't pressed the issue. Six months? A year? Never?

Either way, it came today. Yeah, I wasn't pressing it, and as you mentioned in a prior post, I didn't need to have it right away.

Even with Haynesworth the 'Skins will still suck. He's an excellent player and the best lineman out on the market but I just can't see him netting that kind of cash. So what're your predictions for next season?

I like the sound of that. Cowboys missing the playoffs (again) sounds even better.

Who's going to the Super Bowl This Year? :?

Week 18: Teams still in the HUNT Seattle, New Orleans, Kansas City, Baltimore, Green Bay, Philadelphia, New York Jets, Indianopolis, Atlanta, New England, Chicago and the Pittsburg Steelers.

Teams that should have went: Tampa Bay and New York Giants.
Team that should NEVER have been permitted in the NFL playoffs: Pete Carrolls Seattle Seahawks!

As a NY Giants fan, I agree with you Creeper. Based on record alone, Seahawks should not be in the playoffs at all, but they ARE a division winner (a horrible season for the NFC West). So as a division winner, they deserve a playoff game, but not a home game, not the 4 seed. Doesn't really matter - the Saints will clobber them.

My picks for Wild Card weekend: Saints def. Seahawks, Colts def. Jets, Ravens def. Chiefs, Packers def. Eagles.

Hmmm....

Saints D allows 41 pts to a sub-500 "lucky to be here" team. Wow, just wow.

Well....not a good Saturday for football picks. Glad I didn't have any money on these games.

The Pack are heading to the Super Bowl. Now who will they play - Jets or Steelers? My pick is Pittsburgh. I think me, my brother and my cousin are possibly the only NYers not voting with the Jets lol. Like I care...

Though the Packers ended up putting an end to the Giants' season (well, they did it to themselves by bitching out against Philly), I still felt that GB would get past Philly AND Chicago. Momentum on their side and they're just a really good team this year, despite key injuries.

Jets blow another chance at the Bowl....oh well. Thats what we expect of them. Steelers in the super bowl....unless we get an exciting finish like two years ago...I yawn at this matchup.

I actually like this matchup. Both have solid QBs, WRs and defenses. I actually give a slight edge to GB for WRs and the edge to Pitt for the running game. GB has looked nice with the rookie Starks coming up to bat for them at the right time of the season. I will actually enjoy this game because I like both teams. I tend to root for someone no matter who is playing, but this year is a tough call. I think I may go with the Pack.
