Going into week 15 (playoff week), I haven't had the time to get a rant out, but I will be stopping in here and adding a few notes in before the weekend.

Out of all the years past, heading into the playoffs, I am probably less stoked about this effort than the other years.
My receiving has absolutely went into the toilet over the last few weeks of the season.
Not only that, even Sidney Rice looks to have a bad day also, considering he won't have anyone but a 3rd string QB to throw him the ball.
I need a huge day from someone unlikely, such as Zach Miller at tight end,(2 TDs??) to have a chance. Or maybe huge days from Peyton Hillis or Arian Foster. (this happening is more likely)

I did note that Thursday the Rebels got a huge night out of some San Diego players, giving him a big boost in his match against the Derelicts.

Well I can see I still run good in the playoffs..............

Coming to the half at the first wave of games, I have Vick who has gotten me precisely zero points, and a kicker that is minus 1. Not to mention neither of my RBs have gotten more than 4 points thus far.

Considering I am essentially playing without a QB this week, I suppose I still have a small chance, as the deficit could be worse... :ROTF:

Dark Horse and the Crackbabies is a nailbiter, as only 2 points seperate the two teams.

A bit different at this hour -- I'm way down by 31 pts. and you're only behind by 13.

Well it looks like there will be no three-peat for me. Though I held onto the #1 seed, I will be ousted by the 4th seed. Ironically, I didn't hold most points this season -- that went to my opponent, Brooklyn Crackbabies. However, I managed to defeat him twice this season, yet when it really counted, my team fell short where his excelled.

It is doubtful Rodgers would have helped you enough to win this week.
Jason Witten was the final nail in your coffin.

Crackbabies = too strong yesterday across the board.

I am in shock a bit.
Yes, I did expect to lose, but I didn't expect it to go down the way it did.
Both monster RBs get me little or nothing, including the league leading rusher Arian Foster.
(note an ankle "injury" has surfaced, although nothing was known/not considered important until after the game)
Regardless, I wasn't going to put in Adrian Peterson considering the fishy field conditions tonight, NOR was I going to take a chance with Steven Jackson. (although there were several teams in our league this year that would have been truly happy to have him)

The kicker spot = end of TZ DZ Minions story / icing on the cake.
Dan Carpenter had been having a solid year, helped by the fact the Dolphins can't find the end zone with a road map. This equated to more field goals, and slightly less extra points.
ANYHOW- yesterday he missed 4 of 4 FGs. Never in his career had he missed more than 2. :ROTF:
Couple in his negative 4 points, with the fact that I even picked up Josh Brown to play in advance, and opted against it seeing as Miami's playoff hopes were still alive. Had I played him, which is the reason I picked him up last week, he got a solid 9. Would that have made a difference? (13 points) Not so far, but then I have the spectacular Sidney Rice playing tonight, in very sketchy conditions.
A three touchdown performance is not unheard of, but thats what it would take for me to pull out a win. (that plus some yardage) Very , very unlikely even though Minnesota's ground game was put to a screeching halt last time they played Chicago.

Final conclusion.........
Dan Carpenter not only helped in killing my fantasy playoff potential, he ALSO ruined the far less important season of the Miami Dolphins. :D

There is no bigger fan of Sidney Rice in all of the country tonight.

A dominating day for both Jamaal Charles and Witten from Crackbabies killed me, especially since neither were projected to do much. If they performed half as good, I would still have needed to play Maclin instead of Garcon to pull out a win. It just wasn't meant to be this season. It was loads of fun though. Unless Rice goes bonkers tonight, it appears to be a husband-wife championship for the $90 (Crackbabies vs. Razorblades) - neither made playoffs in my other league.

I was going to add earlier, but forgot........
As far as I'm concerned, its my contribution to a wedding present.

(I would still rather have won though)

Well, at least me and Lazy are playing each other again, I wouldn't have it any other way. (unless of course it was playing for 1st and not 3rd)

This game obviously doesn't have the impact it would had I been playing for first, so I am most likely going to do the most interesting thing of all this week.

I have had one Steven Jackson on my team this season, and he has been riding the pine the entire season. I plan on playing him for the first time all season, in the very last week.
Think about that...... seriously.

We all know that RBs get older and their performance may not rival other RBs.
But this season I actually BENCHED Adrian Peterson a week (that was not an injury / bye week), and essentially had Steven Jackson on the bench the entire time.
Had anyone heard that scenario preseason they would have thought a single team pulling this maneuver would equate to fantasy suicide!

God I love this shite, is it time for PTE Fantasy Football 2011 yet???? :|

Whats the Win-Loss Ratio between the two? Did anyone sweep this year. I can't remember who won between you guys in the playoffs last year.

Lazy has been the league winner 2 times out of 4 in the last /only four we have ever played. That includes this season.
I on the other hand, have made the playoffs all four years, but I have been knocked out in the first round each time.
Regular season matches between Lazyboy and I -
2007 - TZDZ 2..... Lazy 0
2008 - TZDZ 1..... Lazy 1
2009 - TZDZ 1..... Lazy 1

I would like to look at the specifics again of ALL the playoff matches, but I don't think that is doable on Yahoo.
It appears that it keeps the final tallies for the season records and winners, but not individual match results. :(

And this season I edged TZ DZ 89-85 in the one regular season matchup. So we'll see if it goes 1-1 again for this year or if I can take the sweep.

TZ DZ will now beat the shite out of me in our last playoff match so I can't sweep.

Wow, I didn't place in the top 3 for the first time in PtE football. Oh well. Congrats on your 3rd consecutive 3rd place finish TZ DZ. I'll be back for 1st place next season. Thanks to all for playing and a big congrats to Crackbabies for winning the cash, and his wife for taking 2nd. Jamaal Charles helped him roll the past 2 weeks. Of course he had lots of help from other players, but Charles really kicked it up a notch.
