Another early season episode I had not seen until DVD release, only this time I was enthralled! With Zemeckis directing an incredible cast in a period piece, you just cannot lose here. Great send-off for the finale of season 3.

10!

Great Episode. Look at that cast - Kirk F'N Douglas, Lance Hendrickson, Danny Aykroyd - awesome. I Love the whole Father/Son and military idealism of WWI.

"See ... I told ya. My son's not yellow."

The longest episode of TFTC....also one of the best. It does have a great cast so that has it going for him....I even noticed one of the nerds from Revenge of the Nerds...haha that was great. I'll go with a 7 though....
Most people say the ending was so obvious....but if you are watching it for the first time and unaware of what TFTC is like...you might never see it coming.

I never knew this was so much like Stanley Kubrick;s Paths of Glory I guess thats where they based the character that Kurt Douglas was on.

The cast is fantastic. The story is engaging and interesting. Good atmosphere. Hell of an ending.

Thats a shame Shat. Its got great stories based on the comics... incredible production value...and without a doubt the best actors and directors of its time. A little violent and graphic but they are great mini movies.

I've only seen it once, but in a way it's like the ending of THE EXECUTION OF PRIVATE SLOVIK, which has that line "If he was a coward, he didn't show it HERE."

Plus that book (1954) came out before Paths of Glory film (1957) so kind of funny. Ive never seen the 1974 movie version of TEOPS either but wanted to.
