anybody been reading this latest huge DC Comics storyline. i loved it. best part at the end was bringing Deadman back to the living. well, also Aquaman, Hawk, and Hawkman and Hawkgirl.
now it continues into the BRIGHTEST DAY storyline...

it was good. the story had a few of tie in issues with a bunch more 3 issue tie in mini-titles...some folks liked them, some thought they mini-titles were useless (i get that from message board posts) but i liked the ones i got (the Flash, JSA and TITANS). but main story revolved around the 9 issue BLACKEST NIGHT title, GREEN LATERN, an the GREEN LANTERN CORPS.
best part to me was when they brought back the original Earth 2 Superman that died a couple years back. but like all the other dead zombies, he was destroyed as well.

Picked up the Blackest Night, mostly for the Batman arch, but I haven't read any of it yet. I'm way far behind on my cominc reading.

I've have been reading Blackest Night, and now Brightest Day. The last few issues of Green Lantern have really been amazing, especially the Lobo issues, and now the Star Sapphire issues. The stories are filled with action, a fine plot, some humor, some pathos, some romance and depth.

Spoiler:

It would be cool to see Lobo try on the red ring of rage, even though he says he wants to sell it to the highest bidder, in REBELS the comic, it looks like he might try it on.

I love the GL series and these story lines, and highly recomend them. It takes place mostly in space, or on other planets, deals with aliens and power rings, and it showcases most other DC characters as well. It mixes fantasy and scifi very elegantly.
The Blackest Night was about Death, and defying it. The Brighest Day is the after math, is about Life. These stories also are about the whole emotional spectrum, these are deeply woven stories many will enjoy.
