Ah, John Sharp is our new #2 in this episode. If you look close, see if he doesn't remind you of a taller version of Angelo Muscat (The Butler).

The opening scene - although obviously a stunt double and some bad fight choreography - sets the tone for this episode. #6 has too many aggressive and anti-social tendencies that the Community needs to address. How do they plan to qualm his over aggressive behavior - Sonic Lobotomy.

Now, this is a very British episode. Even though nobody can take a blow or kick ass like #6, he manages to get captured by the village and brought to the hospital for reform. He knows damn well that he will either be lobotomized or subliminally reprogrammed, yet he seems proud and staunch and willing to await the communities response. From an American point of view - Oh, hell no. Some people needed hurting and killing before they dragged me off.

As always, #2 tries to fool #6 into believing he has had a lobotomy - that of course - blows up in his face.

Not one of the better episodes, too clumsy and obvious. Patrick McGoohan also directs this episode and his acting suffers for it. Middle of the road episode for me.

6!

This is one of my favorites, due to the forced conformity theme.
No. 6's attitude (regarding hostility) is very funny and rebelious.
Unmutual! Strange talk, for a poet! Reactionary! Disharmonious!
The scene when he snaps out of it and kicks ass is so triumphant.
And his rare turning of the proverbial tables is ultimately satisfying.

I don't know, Kanamit - maybe it's just me, but this episode is just clumsy and awkward. Hell, he caught the good doctor slipping him the pills in the coco or tea early on. The again. Then again.

Granted, I did like John Sharp and his verbatim conformity policy. It reminded me a lot of Keymas' Leader in TZ-EotB; ah the beautiful conformity. However, this is another, "The New #2 makes a way to extravagant plan to get the better of #6." Unfortunately, when #6 is on the game as soon as it starts, you as a viewer knew that this was going to be a big charade with a happy and humbling ending.

Now, our next couplea episodes: Do not Forsake me & Living in Harmony - there was some serious plot development on the part of #2 ;)

Not as strong as the previous episodes. I feel like it's the same old story of #2 trying to conform #6 with the same result.

5.
