Another enjoyable Quest ride, this time along with their new hi-tech undersea crawler.

I don't quite know what the purpose of this "undersea crawler" was, but they have supposedly spent years developing it.
I presume to help our own Navy, and aid in exploring the sea from a more close-up perspective.

There were a few good little action sequences in this one, notably the "battle of the subs" towards the end.
These are some of the coolest vehicles in any of the Quest cartoons. Basically we have a couple of "mini-subs", just large enough for one person, and apparently a sizeable supply of torpedoes!
Quite a bit of cool gun fire laden, hovercraft chase scenes as well.

One unique scene, was when the bad guys first enter the crawler, and shoot Race with a tranquilizer dart.
Note that also, one of them says "shoot the dog too", although this is actually not shown, it happens.
We jump to another view and it shows Bandit lying knocked out, beside Race.
I assume they just couldn't show Bandit being shot.

Odd too, as we certainly see him getting shot at enough.

We get to see some more of those swank ass~! hovercrafts. Also we get to see the hydrofoil in action again.

In the end, Race gets to personally undermine  the bad guys, and they meet a rather brutal fate.

Another solid episode.
Enjoyable "6".
Even the less than stellar episodes were good in this series, in my opinion.

The series has been in a bit of a slump.

Dr. Quest's new underwater prober is stolen by some bad guys. Race and Johnny get kidnapped along with it.

Hadji saves everyone by hypnotizing the lone guard keeping and eye on the Quest team. Ugh.

This one is saved a bit by some gunfire, a chase, and a wise-cracking Race. The biggest problem is that the villains are a non-factor, and well, they are stupid.

My Rating: 4 - Fair
