OK.......... I have been looking for these episodes online somewhere, but they are rather tough to dig up.

BUT!! While looking around youtube, I stumbled across something that is very noteworthy.

Here is the description of what I found..............

"Supposedly made for a one time screening at a private function -this two hour plus documentary is a must see for every fan of the original JONNY QUEST series"

Note - I do not own the DVD set, and this may well be included as an extra, but it doesn't appear thats the case.

I haven't watched these yet, but these appear extremely interesting, so if you guys like whitsbrain and DrMoreau and Creeper, haven't seen this yet, you should find it awesome, to say the least.

Get a load of this.

------------------------------------

EDIT: The original 9 minute movies have been taken down from YouTube, however, I did stumble upon the complete documentary on the original posters Blog spot and notified DrMoreau as to its complete and uncut existence on the world wide web. All 2 1/2 hours, uncut, and unedited.

This documentary was created and posted by Chris Webber and may also be found at his Jonny Quest blog: From Palm Key

Holy crap! Thanks TZ DZ! I'm certain these are not on the Hanna-Barbera set.

No, the HB set has nothing on it compared to this documentary.

I don't know if you have had the chance to go through any of these yet whit, but you really should.

The first 2-3 are a bit slow, and start venturing into the origins of JQ.

Then they really get interesting, as it sheds all kinds of light on the behind the scenes stuff, network and budget problems, even a load of information on the animators and creators, not to mention the voice actors.

I haven't sat through the whole thing yet, but I am seriously stoked to have stumbled across it, right under our collective noses.
I don't know exactly who made this thing, but whoever did, had alot of inside tidbits on the show, and close contact with the people that took part.

Sadly, I have been unable to locate the 2 missing parts, but DrM and I are still on the lookout.

PM me in regards to DVDs.

I watched this entire documentary tonight and it was fantastic! There was so much interesting information.

Doug Wildey was an amazing animator! The details about the Hanna-Barbera staff not being able to recreate his style and the scenes where they show the shoddy drawings done by the other staff animators was something I'll enjoy watching for as I run through the series on DVD.

I've always thought the animation on the episode "Shadow of the Condor" was stunning, now I know that Wildey himself used it as his best example of how the show should look.

Thanks for posting the link, TZDZ!

Oh, yeah. Great Documentary, the one on the DVD set pales in comparison. I just wish I could find the 2 missing episodes.

I just finished watching this and WOW! For a fan of the series and someone who is amazed by the abilitites of animators like Doug Wildey, Alex Toth, Jack Kirby, etc., this was two hours well spent. This is jam-packed with more that any Quest fan will probably ever need. A love letter to the show.

It was a fluke that I came across this again whit.
Something I just happened to look at yesterday, while snooping around.

After thinking about it for a bit, I realized that me nor DrM had this on DVD, and we had talked about it before, a couple years ago.
I actually mentioned you in a PM to DrM concerning DVDs ......
Are you interested in obtaining a copy???

DrM will be mailing me a few goodies shortly, and if you are interested in having a home copy of this one (which will NEVER BE RELEASED) I think we can see that you get one.
Even if you don't plan on seeing this one again anytime soon, having this one on hardcopy is literally a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Paging DrM~!

Came back to this thread earlier planning on watching this documentary again, and for some reason the video link has either been deleted, or is broken.

Can you find out what happened with this?
I hope you can relocate this, as I am not sure I can find this anymore online.

WOOT! Quick edit-- The documentary is still on youtube, broken down into 3 parts instead of the original posting there, which was a ton of 9 minute clips.

The guys website is here ---> http://chriswebber037.blogspot.com/

Note to whitsbrain and other fans, he has some incredible 3D shots made from fans posted there. There are a ton of other Quest goodies to be found there also.
There is also a remade 3D Hi-Def intro that is truly bad ass~! ---> http://vimeo.com/28278839
Check that out in fullscreen. ^^ (whitsbrain also linked to this in the other thread)

And last but not least, a link to the whole documentary is right here ---> http://www.sendspace.com/pro/nosgv5

All of the above really is must-see material for fans of the show.
I still think we need to get this on DVD at some point.
I would bet its only a matter of time before that thing gets yanked down for good.
