I love the original episode and it's a staple to my holiday viewing. I was pleased with this remake, it was well done.

I'm with you both on this, an 8 from me too, I think maybe I slightly prefer the original, but this is almost as good.

I feel the same way - it's one remake that stands alongside the original. And it was clever for it to be nice to the "villain" of the story (played by Atherton) at the end, in a serious way this time (as opposed to the funny way in the original). And Theodore Wilson was a very good choice to play the best friend.

I will most likely watch this one again.
