One the best episodes of the series--the mood where Kolchak is in that junkyard performing the rites of execution of the zombie is downright spooky!

Definitely in my top 5 from the series. I was 9 - I think - when I saw this the 1st time when it premiered. Scared the begezus outta me.

This is the episode of the series I remember most fondly. NYR94 is spot on-the junkyard sequence he refers to gave me the heebie jeebies.

This one moved pretty slow until the last 20 minutes or so. Once Kolchak goes zombie hunting, finds it and crawls into the back of the car with it, the episode gets very intense. That Kolchak has got some balls. Also, how can you go wrong with Darrin McGavin, Simon Oakland and Charles F' Aidman?

My Rating: 8 - Very Good

Watched this one again last night and was just as impressed with it as I was the first time I saw it. Over the next few days, I'm going to run through the entire series from beginning to end as a nice New Years treat for myself.

Well, Happy New Year, NYR94!

During my Downtown visits, I've found some mor Downtown shots - including the junkyard from this episode. Hopefully I'll find some time to update.

That he does. One of the things I always liked about Kolchak - he's no coward. Carl "Big Brass" Kolchak should have been his nick name. :)

Yeah, well watch The Ripper and see why that little moniker doesn't fit him--while trapped in the closet with The Ripper just inches from him, Kolchak screams like a bitch and flies outta there! True, he electrocuted The ripper a few minutes later, but still!

It just proves that Kolchak, although brave during certain circumstances, has the good common sense to get the hell out of the way when he needs too. But, yes, he did scream like a little bitch in that scene didn't he? :D

Have Fun & Happy Posting,

Watched this again tonight and I still think it is one of the better episodes.
