Sometimes, small things in life bother me. (as if I didn't already have problems enough with blood pressure) :D

In day to day life, what are some of the small things that bother you, or get you irritated?

2 examples from me......... I had them both happen today.

First- getting stuck in traffic. Note- this doesn't happen here much, in fact, I can often go a year or more without running in to an accident, or having to wait in a jam. Today, I got caught on a fairly major road here in Richmond, (2 lanes each way, but really busy as it connects 2 prominent parts of town) there must have been an accident somewhere way up ahead, as I waited for like 30 minutes, before I could finally turn off and get away on a back road. :(
I know this may be more of a problem for DrM, as he is in California. Possibly for SVB, as he is in northern Virginia. Right around D.C. like that can be brutal too.

Second- Waiting in line. Anytime I have to wait in line at a store, be it at a Wal-Mart, electronics store, or virtually anywhere I have to wait, generally pisses me off. Even moreso if its at a grocery store, like Food Lion or wherever. I mean WTF :wtf: , you go in, and there are always 6-7 people in every line, with 2-3 lines open. Normally there is about 5-6 cashiers around, either on break, walking the aisles, or doing some other bullshit.
Look, I don't mind giving my money away to these bastards, really I don't. I am very "free" with my money and I normally go ahead and buy what I want. But don't make me wait unneccesarily, to give my money to you. Just take the shite and let me leave.

I think you are mistaken. I definitely do NOT have a cocky attitude.

I just enjoy the whole thing, winning is just a big plus. Ya, I haven't won yet, but I am at the top, and if you remember these lines, I said them weeks ago.

"Now that I am in the toilet, for me to rise up and lead the league would truly be a "cinderella story", considering that I have never even done this fantasy stuff at all". I definitely said something like that, though I am too lazy to go back and check out exactly the wording.

If nothing, I have been rooting for you to make a run. But a couple of poor choices (Houshmanzadeh), and some dissapointments like Wille Parker and your receivers, certainly aren't helping the cause.

So basically what you are saying SVB, is getting schooled by a Fantasy n00b like me in our league pisses you off?

I wish I had a dancing banana to put here along with this comment. :P

In Britain we have a certain type of people, mainly teenage hooligans that dress in a distinctive style of clothing, Burberry baseball caps, blue and white striped sweaters, usally Henri Lloyd or Fred Perry clothing, or alternatively they also wear hoodies, and big garish fake gold chains. They hang around in big gangs and try to intimidate people, although on they're own they're not usually so tough, swear in every other sentence, and the girls are all big on teenage pregnency, the word chav has defined them for the last few years in Britain, its not even slang its been added to the dictionary and you can read all about them if you type chav on wikipedia, I'm sure you probaly have similar types in the states TZ DZ Fan?

Well the only remotely close type we have here, well..........we just call them jackasses. :D

Sounds more like a "gang" type lifestyle, so in that respect we have those.

But overall, it sounds like something fairly confined to Britain, although I am sure we have some remotely similar stuff here.
Certainly not as popular here though.

We have them here in the states too - we call him, K-Fed. The wannabe white-boyz who try to fit-in to the black bling-bling community. They try to act all gangsta, listen to rap, and think that the clothes will give them street-cred but typically live in the suburbs with mom and dad.

What in life pisses me off?

Immigration run wild . . .

A Romanian arrives in Britain as a new immigrant to the country. He stops the first person he sees walking down the street and says, "Thank you Mr. Britishman for letting me in this country, giving me housing, money for food, free medical care and free education!"

The passerby says, "You are mistaken, I am Jamaican."

The man goes on and encounters another passerby.

"Thank you for having such a beautiful country here in Britain!"

The person says, "I not British, I Asian."

The new arrival walks further, and the next person he sees he stops, shakes his hand and says, "Thank you for the wonderful Britain!"

That person puts up his hand and says, "I am from Middle East , I am not British!"

He finally sees a nice lady and asks, "Are you British?"

She says, "No, I am from Africa "

Puzzled, he asks her, "Where are all the British people?"

The African lady checks her watch and says....."Probably at work."

My wife's TV watching choices.

My god!!! It's really starting to piss me off! I just want her to watch one show that wasn't created for total morons.

She is a very smart person but now she's watching "Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann". The other night it was "Don't Forget The Lyrics" and "The Singing Bee". Before that it was "Dancing With The Stars'. And I caught her watching "Wife Swap" a while back.

If I hear one more dumb ass in the audience yell "whoooooo" one more time I will puke.

Dammit! It's really starting to get to me... :wtf:

If any of you were wondering why I watch so many friggen' movies, now you know...

LOL - I know that feeling well, Whit. And when you actually sit down and watch something that is truly entertainment or educational, they give you grief about it.

We may not be able to legally kill 'em, but, thank God, we can neuter them.

My wife will watch some things with me, but that just means that I need to give in to a little of her guilty pleasures (when she's in the mood for something light and mindless). I'm just glad I can get her hooked on shows like Carnivale, Lost, Dexter etc.

Wow, thats how it always starts out early in the marriage Lazy. :P They always do a few small things, and make some "compromises". It all starts off so innocent. Thats when the real smoke and mirrors begin.

Then 5 years later, you have to beg, borrow and steal, just to get a few treasured things that you would like.

Hey...........I didn't even mention the sex yet.

Maybe DrM or whit can expand on this. I believe both have been married for many years now. I still think its kind of cool neither have totally moved over to the dark side....... yet.

What in life pisses me off . . .

Surgically enhanced breasts. :x

Silicone titties are a real turn-off to me. :yack: . . . better flat-chested than false-chested.

False beauty. :P

Natural beauty.

I can deal with the first few weeks of American Idol. You know when they are weeding through all the auditions.

I don't like it enough to actually tune in, but I can stomach it. I may watch it if nothing else was on or my DVD player was broken. :D

But after that when the competition begins, it turns into a smoking pile of bullshit.

WOW, I just stumbled across this one again whit. All those shows, and not a winner in the bunch.

I know you must have a good marriage, as you mentioned before you guys have been together for many years.
But thats about the absolute opposite end of the spectrum of tv viewing. (your viewing tastes and hers are completely different) :wtf:

Those shows you just rattled off truly are the bottom of the barrel.

Yeah, I don't know what happened. Back when we first got married, I remember the first show we really got into together was that David Lynch series "Twin Peaks". Then in the early '90s, we used to just love the X-Files. But since then...nothing. She thinks I'm a sci-fi/cartoon/computer geek anyway, but I have other qualities that she likes, which I won't get into here because this is a family forum...

About two months ago she said she wanted a big screen Hi-Def plasma in the family room. After picking myself up off of the floor due to passing out from shock, I used the money that Uncle Sam over collected from me and bought her the plasma (gotta feed that tattered economy, ya know).

Last week, she was over at the neighbors for a few hours. When she came home, she told me we HAD to get a Nintendo Wii. Again, after recovering from another fainting spell, I started looking around to buy one. They are impossible to find right now. Nobody has them in stock.

Your right Mr. Whitsbrain, Wii is not my game system of choice. I prefer what we here in Georgia call, Nekkid Poontang!

Great! Another Japanese electronics company...Is nothing made in America anymore!

I mean Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic, Yamaha...now Nekkid. The Poontang is a catchy name for a game console, though.

Well tonight is Wednesday the 26th.
Speaking of pissed, whitsbrain might be a little fired up as I type this.

For those that don't know, he is probably in the middle of a stellar 1-2 punch of "Wife Swap" followed by the ever popular "Super Nanny".

Sorry whit, I couldn't resist. Maybe you are checking out yet another movie. :P

Yep. She is watching "American Idol" right now. The evening's viewing was kicked off with "Wife Swap". I can't even be in the same room when that crap is on. It may not sound like it, but we don't watch a lot of TV. I just like to bitch about the stuff.

I just finished watching "The Mist" in the home theater downstairs.

I have been watching movies a lot (which you've noticed), since I shutdown my Internet radio station. No more programming playlists...but if the royalties remain affordable and the RIAA is beaten back from their greedy money grab (this coming from a capitalist pig like myself, mind you), I'm going to fire it back up.

Thanks for the link to my website from the PTE home page. The content is old and I am in the process of revamping the old site. I keep getting music sent to me. There are so many talented people out there who just want to be heard. Hopefully I can build a site that's easy to update and looks good. I am a network design geek by trade so I'm convinced I can rebuild it myself. The time it takes to update the site's content, review music fairly and still have a life away from a keyboard is the challenge.

I "took the night off of poker", and just decided to hang in the house, and have an "Outback Steak".

Needless to say, I caught the last few minutes of "Wife Swap". What a bunch of bullshit that is.
If we are gonna watch a real "Wife Swap", then lets see some hot chicks having sex. Not some pig who doesn't know how to raise her own children, try and go to another house, and fail yet again at raising their kids, all the while failing to please the other husband.

"Super Nanny" was almost tolerable, but notice I said almost.

One other thing I have noticed recently about mainstream TV. If you aren't a fan of "Crime law and CSI cold order case SVU punishment" or whatever mashup of crime shows you can muster , then you are in for a hell of a long week of TV.

I don't even want to touch upon "American Idol".
